Pencil Drawing of the Alternative Valentine
Designing and Drawing stage, the human heart I felt gives the picture a sense of meaning to the composition. drawing the heart was a challenge but a good exercise in it's self.
Under painting with oil paints on canvas.
Enjoyed the excercise of painting the heart it's original colours but too realistic, so decided it needed to be painted in alternative colours. At this point I was not sure what the back ground would be, so just painted in tones of yellow's and ochre's.
Completed Alternative Valetine Painting.
I did enjoy this composition, totally different from my previous art works. Found it a bit challenging not to add too much detail into the figures, just adding brush strokes of oil paint to give the impression was all that was needed in places.
