Jon designing and drawing the composition. The detail at this point is limited, as the landscape and the detail will come together when actually painting.

The drawing and designing is now completed ready for transferring to the canvas.
Under painting.
Jon starting the under painting, just applying blocks of colour and not too much detail at this point.
Continuing detail painting.
The colours and tones give the painting depth and interest. The trees near the giraffe are giving me a little concerned, as I do not want to take too much detail on the rest of the painting. Also not wanting to put too much detail in the foreground at this point.
Loan warrior completed.
This atmospheric sunset was a joy to paint, the sense of depth in this composition I feel is very special. The large colourful sky and the sun setting behind the mountains, with the lone warrior watching over his kingdom. This is a painting I shall be proud to hang on my wall.
