Under Painted Canvas
This painting did not have a lot of detail, firstly I under painted the canvas with dark greens leaving loose shapes in the wet paint.
Drawing With Paint
The only precise drawing was needed here for the 2 poppies. I then loosely painted stems and leaves.
Adding More Shapes
I continued loosely drawing shapes of poppies and leaves.
Detail Being Added
Adding more detail using tones of greens for the leaves and stems gave the composition more interest.
Painting Completed
Detailed painting of the poppies using tones of red brought the composition to life. Adding light and dark tones completed the painting. I hope you enjoyed this different piece of artwork.
