Designing Composition
I wanted to design a painting with multiple figures, combining this with my love of music. I found lots of figures from the Internet and drew them in a composition I found interesting.

Composition Traced and Drawing With Paint
After tracing the completed design onto canvas I started painting the figures, my good friend and artist Peter advised me always do this so as not to lose the detail from the drawing.

Drawing Painted
With the tracing redrawn in paint I can now see all the detail and are ready for the painting stage.

Under Painting Background
I started on the painting the background and foreground, meeting sure that none of the detail drawing was over painted.

Under Painting Figures
My next stage in the painting was underpainting loosely the figures and the instruments, adding some dark and light tones.

Here you can see me using the adapted paintbrushes made by my remap engineer friend Peter.

Started Detail Painting
I’m starting to add detail in the painting. Adding more detail to the faces and hands, composition is now taking shape and I’m pleased with it so far.
