Design and Drawing Completed
This painting was a lot of fun to design and draw, I did think that it would make a lovely children’s jigsaw puzzle. The little gnome sat playing with his flute and the cheeky dragonfly watching him made an interesting composition.
Continuing To Paint Details
Mixing lots of colour and tones I blocked in the shapes, as I worked around the painting each brushstroke bringing the composition together.
Adding More Colour To Highlight
Although the painting was tricky in places, it was a lot of fun. Sometimes it’s nice to have painting which makes you smile as you doing it, adding more detail and tones the characters in the painting were coming alive.
Painting Completed
The mixture of complimentary colours and detail brought the composition together, I am happy with the completed painting. I hope you enjoyed viewing the painting and how it was constructed.
